Osaka Hozenji Yokocho

Hozenji Yokocho (法善寺横丁)

If you had a chance to visit Dotonbori, why don't you stretch your legs to walk around Hozenji Yokocho which locates at right next to Dotonbori street.  The narrow, stone-paved lane in Hozenji makes you feel like you are in back in good old days of Osaka in Showa period.  The place has many small shops and food and cafes lined on both sides of the pathway.  It is fun just by walking around especially at night where you can find all the beautiful lanterns that create the mysterious oriental atmosphere.  Hozenji Yokocho is also famous for Fudo Myo Ou (fierce Buddhist deity) statue which is known as Mizukake Fudo in Osaka.
