This is probably one of the most famous places to have the Ichiran Ramen among all the chain shops in Japan. It is quite popular that you would find this shop in your guidebook or even at the information center nearby. The shop is conveniently located very close to JR Shinjuku Station South East Exit and is open for 24 hours. Above all, the ramen in Ichiran is just amazing. How could people just walk past such condition right? Well, as a matter of fact, when you get here, you would be amazed of the splendid ramen they proudly serve as well as the long queue you might have to struggle.. We personally recommend you to visit Ichiran Shinjuku Kabukicho which is also located close to JR Shinjuku Station, but this time from East Exit. This shop was newly opened from April 2016 so some of you may not know about the new Ichiran shop in Shinjuku yet. Anyhow, that’s one of your options to avoid the long queue at the famous Chuo Higashi shop. Besides that, the ramen in Ichiran is just superb. The classic tonkotsu ramen (790 yen) with a little bit of red pepper on top is almost like a perfection of pork bone based that amazes you with every sip. This tasty soup that coils around the thinner noodle inside that has an excellent chewy texture, is extremely mouthwatering that has been loved by the locals for more than 50 years. You can either wait for the long queue or visit the second one, but either way is definitely worth it for such high quality ramen. You won’t regret it.
