Ichikatsu - Best Tonkatsu in Ryogoku

Another well known restaurant in Ryogoku that specializes in pork cutlet, so called Tonkatsu, is Ichikatsu.  Well, what makes this restaurant so remarkable is its unbeatable cost performance where it whips up outstanding pork cutlet dishes at extremely affordable price at 690 yen for a set menu.  The quality of the meat in Ichikatsu is absolutely a first class.  The thick meat inside has a splendid chewy texture while you can enjoy the freshly roasted batter coating that is crispy enough to make the wonderful crunchy sound.  They deep fry it twice until the batter coating turns to golden color and make the quality of the cutlet even higher for the customers.  Meanwhile, you can also enjoy their special Tonkatsu sauce on top of those exceptional pork cutlets accompanied with fresh cabbages, pickles, rice and delicious miso soup.  Again, the price set for the meal mentioned above is just unbelievable against such high quality of food.  When you come by for lunch , make sure to order Rosu Katsu Teishoku (Pork loin set).
